Mrs. Grace Cox (nee Mimnaugh) passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years, with her children by her side, on May 26, 2024 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Grace was pre-deceased by her husband, Douglas Cox in 1991.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children: Dale (Caroline Godère), Wendy (Bill Clarke), and Doreen (Sean Noel), as well as eight grandchildren: Marie, David, and Evelyn Cox; Evan, Leah, and Paige Clarke; and Kirsten and Lauren Noel. Grace was born in 1932 in Inverness, Quebec to parents Cora and Arthur Mimnaugh.
She attended school in Inverness and graduated from A.S. Johnson high school in Thetford Mines. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Bishop’s University, and taught school for ten years before getting married in 1963 and moving to the Cox family farm near Saint-Jean-de-Brébeuf. Grace most recently resided at the Wales Home in Richmond.
Visitation to take place on Saturday, June 1 at 12.30 to 2.30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 317 Rd Gosford S., Inverness. Funeral service to follow at St-Andrew Church’s, 1780 Dublin Street at 3 p.m., Inverness. Interment at the Boutelle’s Cemetery.

Madame Grace Cox (née Mimnaugh) est décédée paisiblement à l’âge de 91 ans, entourée de ses enfants, le 26 mai 2024 à l’Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu de Sherbrooke, Qc. Madame Grace était l’épouse de Douglas Cox, décédé en 1991.
Elle laisse dans le deuil, ses trois enfants : Dale (Caroline Godère), Wendy (Bill Clarke) et Doreen (Sean Noel), ainsi que ses huit petits-enfants : Marie, David, et Evelyn Cox; Evan, Leah et Paige Clarke; et Kirsten et Lauren Noel.
Mme Grace est née en 1932 à Inverness, Qc. Ses parents Cora et Arthur Mimnaugh. Elle a fréquenté l’école d’Inverness et a été diplômée de l’école secondaire A.S. Johnson de Thetford Mines. Elle a ensuite obtenu son baccalauréat en éducation à l’Université Bishop’s et a enseigné pendant dix ans avant de se marier en 1963 et de déménager à la ferme familiale Cox, à St-Jean-de-Brébeuf. Mme Grace résidait maintenant au Wales Home à Richmond.
La famille reçoit les condoléances le samedi 1er juin 2024 à compter de 12h30 jusqu’à 14h30, à la Salle Odd Fellows, 317 Gosford sud, Inverness, Qc. Le service funéraire aura lieu à 15h à l’église St-Andrews d’Inverness, 1780 rue Dublin, Inverness. Suivra l’inhumation au cimetière Boutelle d’Inverness.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mum. I didn't know her well but I know my Dad thought highly of both of your parents. I also know she must have been a great mother as she has 3 great children as a testimony to that.
